Crafted from Mulberry silk, the dress undergoes a meticulous wax-dyeing process, in which sections of the fabric are protected with wax before receiving color. In a second stage, the hardened wax is gently crumpled, creating fine cracks that allow a new layer of dye to penetrate the fabric.

This process creates the delicate lines and crackled patterns that run across its surface, forming an effect reminiscent of intricate spiderwebs. The variations created by the wax and dyeing process make each pattern naturally irregular, adding depth and uniqueness to the print.
